NEWZEALAND CRICKET ANNOUNCES CENTRAL CONTRACT 2026-27: CINWAY TICKNER RETURNS.
NEWZEALAND HAS ANNOUNCED ITS LIST OF 20 CENTRALLY CONTRACTED MEN'S PLAYERS FOR THE 2026-27 SEOSON, WITH BIG COMEBACKS AND CLEAR SIGNALS ABOUT THE TEAM PRIORITIES HEADING INTO A PACKED YEAR.
1. BIG RETURNS, DEVON CONWAY AND BLAIR TICKNER BACK IN THE FOLD.
DEVON CONWAY. The top order batter was on a "casual playing agreement" in 2025-26 to play T20 Leagues worldwide. After a busy year in Ipl, SA20 and the hundred Conway ha committed to NZC full time again.
BLAIR TICKNER. The pace bowler missed out last year but earns a recall after consistent performances for central district and string NZ A showing. With Tim Southee retired and Matt Henry managing workloads, Tickner adds depth to the pace attack for WTC 2025-27 cycle
2. FULL 20 PLAYER CONTRACT LIST 2026-27
NZC has kept the list at players. No new debutants this year, showing faith in the current core:
BATTERS. Devon Conway, Tom Latham, Will Young, Henry Nicholas, Rachin Ravindra, Mark Chapman
ALL ROUNDERS. Micheal Bracewell, Glenn Philips, Mitchell Santner, Jimmy Neesham
WICKET KEEPERS. Tom Blundell
BOWLERS. Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Blair Tickner, Ben Sears, Jacob Duffy, William O Rourke, Ajaz Patel, Ish Sodhi
NOTABLE EXCLUSION. Finn Allen and Lockie Ferguson remain on casual agreement due to T20 League Commitments. Trent Boult continues his flexible contract.
