PAKISTAN ASIAN GAMES SQUAD 2026, SAHIBZADA FARHAN NAMED CAPTAIN,

 BREAKING: PCB NAMED 15 MEMBERS YOUTH SQUAD FOR AICHI NAGOYA ASIAN GAMES 

    The Pakistan Cricket Board announced it's 15 member squad for the men's T20 cricket event at the Asian Games 2026 on 10 June 2026. In a bold Move, selectors have rested all senior players and handed captaincy to opening batter SAHIBZADA FARHAN.

1.  BABAR AZAM, SHAHEEN AFRIDI, SHADAB KHAN DROPPED.      Pakistan regular white ball captain Salman Agha along with Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab khan have been rested. PCB is treating Asian Games as a devolping Tournament.

2. SAHIBZADA FARHAN GETS FIRST CAPTAINCY. 30 year old Sahibzada Farhan has played 46 T20's scoring 1305 runs with 2 centuries and 10 fifties. He led Pakistan shaheens before but this is his first time captaining the main national team in white ball cricket. 

3.  4 UNCAPPED PLAYER INCLUDED.    PCB picks 4 uncapped player in T20 squad. Akif Javed, Maaz Sadaqat, Saad Masood and ALI raza. This shows focus on groming fresh talent before Olympics 2028.

4. ABDUL SAMAD VICE CAPTAIN.     Hard hitting batter Abdul Samad, who last played T20 in March 2025 is back as Vice Captain. His role will be provide firepower in lower middle order. 

3.  WHY PAKISTAN PICKED A 'B' TEAMS 

1. NCA CAMP LINK.   14 out of 15 players are part of the NCA white ball camp starting 15 June in Lahore. PCB wants to test them under pressure.

2. WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT.    Babar, Shaheen, Rizwan being saved for upcoming tests.

3. OLYMPICS 2028 PREPARATION.    Cricket returns in LA OLYMPICS 2028. PCB wants to check bench strength now.
