PAKISTAN-SAUDIA ARABIA CRICKET DEAL 2026: PCB SOGNS MOU TO BUILD INTERNATIONAL STADIUM IN JEDDAH, PSL MATCHES LIKELY*


July 2026: Mohsin Naqvi + Prince Saud Sign Agreement for ‘Pakistan-Saudi Friendship Stadium’ Under Vision 2030


Pakistan Cricket Board and Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation have signed a major MoU to build an international cricket stadium in Jeddah. The deal could see PSL matches hosted in Saudi Arabia from 2027 onwards.


PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi signed the agreement with Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, SACF Chairman, in Riyadh.

Signed:    July 2026 in Riyadh

Parties:   PCB + Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation SACF

Main Point:    Build an international-standard cricket stadium in Jeddah

1. Playing surfaces to international standards

2. Broadcast & media facilities

3. Hospitality areas, training facilities, spectator services

4. Floodlights + seating for top-level matches 6


Vision:   Help Saudi Arabia host international matches + major events under Vision 2030

1. Vision 2030:   Saudi govt pushing sports investment, tourism, community engagement

2. Huge Expat Base:   Millions of Pakistani + Indian expats in KSA who love cricket since 1960s

3. Growing Cricket:    SACF established 2020. Saudi became ICC Associate member in 2016

4. Neutral Venue:   KSA offers stable venue for Pakistan fixtures 


Prince Saud said: “Today’s partnership is about building a long-term future for cricket in Saudi Arabia” 


          3. PSL in Saudi Arabia?

Yes, it’s on the table.


PCB Plan:   Venue could eventually host PSL matches + other Pakistan fixtures 


Reports:     PCB in advanced talks to host a significant portion of PSL 2027 in Saudi Arabia. New stadium may be called ‘Pakistan-Saudi Friendship Stadium’ 


Reason:    UAE hosted Pakistan’s home games 2010-2019. Saudi can be the new neutral base + attract Gulf investment 


         4. PCB’s Broader Saudi Role

This isn’t just a stadium. PCB is offering full cricket expertise to KSA.


Najam Sethi 2025:   “We would be more than willing to go and help the Saudis put up a cricketing structure there”
